The Mallard ( /ˈmælɑrd/ or /ˈmælərd/), or Wild Duck (Anas platyrhynchos), is a dabbling duck which breeds throughout the temperate and subtropical Americas, Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to New Zealand and Australia.

now we dabbled in the mallard close to exactly 1 year ago & never did we think we would see the likes of her beauty again. her likeness & tendency to camouflage against the late 80's wave shoe box still lives in our memory. tis funny how the vintage gods work however & at times bring things full circle.

as such we were stoked to welcome back that very pair once thought lost, & this time she is not alone. it seems she migrated north with the company of an elder perhaps. we are thus pleased to offer a double team of stunning mallard suede chukkas.

yet again evidence of vans being ahead of its time with poignant releases like this back in the early 90's. attention to detail deficit disorder was not an issue then & the need for speed was negated by vice like these. heavy tan suede bonded to malleable ecru rubber scene with pure crepe gum rubber lug sole. insulated lining, thick cotton lacing & d-ring techno will feed any habit!
