highlights from my chance visit to vans HQ in CA earlier this year, including 2-storey cab image at the entrance & me in steve van dorens office! the vibe case archives were inspiring with some killer holy grail material. was a shame to see a couple retro pairs in place of the originals but still a high water mark in terms of the cultural significance of vans through the decades. get down to the new london vans store in camden for our latest contribution to vfc uk (pics on the way)! cant wait til its us the US team consult as the authority on MADE IN USA originals. not if, but when is the question. the seed has been planted. it is an inevitability & you know this!

vans half cab 20th anniversary year of the dragon style #33

the half cab 20th anniversary continues this year of the dragon as honorary style #33's are released month by month throughout the year. we here are not so in touch with the new school releases however when it's original-inspired we take notice.... & you dont get more original than caballero!

a couple 'leaks' surfaced earlier this year via offthewallsite & im not sure if they hit stores however we thought it time to drop a few originals! the feb-may releases were meant to be original colourways however i dont remember the butterscotch? also check out an interesting interview with cab by peoples at complex. looks like its only the man himself & yours truly who supply vans with originals these days! which is your flavour?

i spoke this week about a multi tonal velvet style #95 which escaped my grasp & still haunts me. i was grateful the 3-tone style #44 joined our ranks however i did not expect anything close to the 1st to re-surface. the universe works in wonderful ways however & we have the pleasure to offer this mind-bending 4-tone era. without a doubt a custom 1-of(f) a kind with asymetrical panelling & contrasting tongue colourways. we offer the nuances & the new(old) answers.
