october is upon us & brings the transition into cooler weather here in london. these are transitional times for us also whom, just like andre upon shaving his head, have to face the inevitable truth that image is not in fact everything. we will continue to follow his lead & serve up highlights from what could be the twilight of our career?

imagine finding this in your bowl of kellogg's special k back in 92. the best team ever assembled on paper.... jacket! superb condition in adult small size which does fit short. it does not feature all members however if memory serves correct certain dreamers were late additions or did nike have something to do with jordan failing to appear on official merch? it does capture legends including bird & mullen however plus the utah connection & mr robinson. don't waste paper

you think murray's looking good for the gold medal? he will never look as good as andre did however period. andre won gold in atlanta 1996 & since then became the only man ever to win the career super slam in the open era, consisting of all 4 grand slams, the atp world champs & the olympic gold.

apologies folks if you don't like sportswear but my background interest as a kid was this world & the olympics provides the best opportunity to let go. i was however into more specialist gear, not out of any (form following) functional focus but instead it justified the necessity of (left) field event footwear collecting dust in the box without the gulit of not wearing them. we will be back with our regular vans/eyewear heat stroke. different heat strokes for different folks.

JULY 1993

early in his career andre refused to play wimbledon, partly because he refused to wear white, in favour of less traditional flavour. this of course change when he won his 1st slam on the grass in white compression shorts in 1992.

we have been lagging on our monthly unveiling of andre action from '93 & as such will counterpunch return with a triple threat, including may's backhand cussons clean winner.

as you can see our work is backing up as we strive to get up to date on pressing issues... such as the agassi image from april 1993. lets see if april can out-do the march madness of acid wash denim shorts combined with built-in lycra compression shorts.

FEBRUARY 1993

incredible for a man whose motto was 'image is everything', would later go on to admit fashioning a prince racket to look like his sponsored donnay, wearing a hair-piece in the 1990 french open final & to using crystal meth. now they used to call borg the iceman but it was agassi who truly had ice in his veins!

JANUARY 1993

not the best shot of andre to start off the new year, but neither was his serve the best shot to start off a point. it does capture him in a sweet pair of challange huarache however, with orange donnay pro1 & matching spandex. challenge courtship!

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 1992

the first feature of my classic 1993 andre agassi calendar. despite the fact the calendar has repeated twice already in 1999 & 2010, it won't repeat again til 2021.... & the mayan calendar may come into effect before then?? they always used the worst pic on the nov/dec months. bad hair-piece day?
