without reproach

vintage nike approach

coinciding with the recent re-release of the nike magma comes this spotlight on one of the pioneering models of nike outdoor history. brainstormed into action in the early 80's the nike approach was part of nike's 1st attempt at outdoor inspired shoes utilising lightweight foam instead of heavy rubber cupsole, which revolutionised weight reduction. the water-resistant yet breathable Gore-Tex technology still in its infancy combined with the waffle lug outsole, hard wearing uppers & deep forest green accents give this prototype the lush feel of a fresh tracks hike. let's hope the no-doubt imminent retro at least comes close to the approachability of this classic!
